A regular adult ticket costs KRW 19,000 with the round-trip ferry, and the same ticket rises to 29,000 KRW when you enter by motorboat and return by ferry.
The island publishes two price columns. The lower one applies when you ride the regular ferry both ways. The higher one applies when you arrive by motorboat and leave by ferry. Children under 36 months enter free with a guardian.

Price table by age tier
The table lists every published tier. Discount tickets cover middle and high school students, severely disabled card holders, national merit holders and visitors aged 70 and over. Special tickets cover children aged 36 months to elementary school age.
Groups of 20 or more paying regular prices get 10 percent off the total, valid only with the regular ferry.
Reduced-price tickets are also sold for early-bird boarding before 08:00 and for late tickets bought after 18:01 from December to March or after 18:31 from April to November. The operator lists the condition but prints no price for it, so ask at the ticket office on the day.

How long is the ferry ride to Nami Island?
The crossing takes about 5 minutes after boarding.
Ferries run all day and the island is open every day of the year. First ferry to the island leaves at 08:00 and the last at 21:00. First ferry off the island is 08:05 and the last is 21:05.
Ferry schedule
Ferries run in the rain, and an icebreaker keeps them going when the river freezes unless a notice is posted. Extra sailings are added in cherry blossom, holiday and foliage seasons.
| Time | Frequency |
|---|---|
| 08:00 to 09:00 | Every 30 minutes |
| 09:00 to 18:00 | Every 10 to 20 minutes |
| 18:00 to 21:00 | Every 30 minutes |
Peak season extras
In summer the last ferry runs at 21:30 on Fridays, Saturdays and days before public holidays during the peak holiday weeks. In autumn the first ferry leaves at 07:30 daily and the last runs at 21:30 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays during the foliage weeks.
Motorboat alternative
The motorboat runs 09:00 to 18:00 seasonally, about April to November. It leaves when two or more people are aboard and carries up to five per boat. A motorboat-only ride from Gapyeong Wharf costs KRW 10,000 per person to Nami Wharf or KRW 15,000 to Meta Wharf, and you still buy an island ticket separately.

Why the ticket looks like a visa
The island runs as a fictional nation, the Naminara Republic, complete with flag, stamps, currency and passport. That is why the entrance ticket is framed as a visa rather than a simple entry fee.

What is the Nami Island zipline price?
The zip wire costs 55,000 KRW for the 5 percent grade slope and 58,000 KRW for the 15 percent grade slope, and both prices include island admission plus the return ferry.
The zip wire is a priced alternative to the ferry, not an extra on top of a normal ticket. It descends from an 80 metre tower for about 1 kilometre over the Bukhan River into the island, and it can only be ridden to enter, not to leave.

A solo traveller pays KRW 19,000 for entry with the round-trip ferry plus the train from Seoul, or KRW 74,000 and more with the zip wire, a bike hour and the Story Tour Bus.
Here is the arithmetic nobody else publishes. Three sample budgets, all for one adult arriving by train from Seoul, using the official KRW 19,000 entry fare and the KRW 55,000 zip wire, before the train fare.

Sample day trip budgets
A day trip of about 8 hours covers most of the island. Prices below exclude food, which the sources do not price, so bring extra for meals and coffee.
| Spending level | What you pay for | Approximate total |
|---|---|---|
| Ferry only | KRW 19,000 entry with round-trip ferry | KRW 19,000 plus train |
| Zipline entry | KRW 55,000 zip wire with entry and return ferry | KRW 55,000 plus train |
| Zipline plus activities | Zipline budget plus a single bike at KRW 9,000 per hour and the KRW 10,000 Story Tour Bus | KRW 74,000 plus train |
Cheaper still, with a tour
If you would rather not deal with transfers, the Nami Island and Garden of Morning Calm tour costs $54 per person for 10 to 12 hours with free cancellation up to 24 hours, and the Alpaca World, Nami Island and rail bike tour costs $74 per person for 10 hours. For three stops in one day the Seoraksan, Nami Island and Garden of Morning Calm day trip runs $89.40 per person over 14 hours.
Where to buy tickets and saving money
You can buy at the gate, and booking platforms sell the same ticket with admission and round-trip ferry fares included, with discounted listed prices shown on the booking page. KTO lists the same official prices. Staying over?
Hotel Jeonggwanru rooms run KRW 148,000 to 238,000, bungalows KRW 280,000 to 440,000, and everything on the island shuts down around 8pm.
When prices are worth it most
Peak autumn color falls between the third week of October and the second week of November, and cherry blossoms usually bloom from mid-April to early May. Those weeks draw the biggest crowds, so arrive early and consider the early-bird reduced ticket for boarding before 08:00.

Is Nami Island really worth it?
Most visitors say yes, since the 19,000 KRW ticket buys a full day of tree-lined paths on an island that welcomes nearly 2 million people a year.
The island was formed when Cheongpyeong Dam was built in 1944 and forested from 1965. The 2001 KBS drama Winter Sonata was shot here and drew tourists from across Asia, and today more than 700,000 foreign visitors from 122 countries arrive each year.
Who gets the most value
Families get the most from the child fare of 13,000 KRW and free entry for under-36-months, since bikes and the Story Tour Bus are cheap add-ons. Couples and photographers get the most in the autumn weeks from mid-October to early December, when ginkgo color peaks late October to mid-November. If you want more for your money in one day, the Nami Island, Petite France and Garden of Morning Calm tour adds two more stops for $78.10 per person.
